Ripped from the headlines of our homeschooling days!

RADKidsWow! What a month! We’ve had some pretty serious health issues to deal with this month, hence our conspicuous lack of posting!

My oldest was diagnosed with seizure disorder/epilepsy. Fortunately, it appears to be an extremely mild case, and his MRI did not show any abnormalities in terms of tumors or anything like that as the root cause.

My middle child also has a couple of medical conditions that also necessitates several doctor’s visits (one of which has been almost weekly).

As for our homeschooling:

  • We took a field trip to the mounted police horse stables (4/4)
  • We had a few more sessions of our RADKids class and actually finished up this past Tuesday (4/8)
  • My two oldest are in a homeschool choir and their solos were recently assigned. My oldest has also been assigned a coveted hand chimes role!
  • Weekly Spanish class for my two youngest
  • Lots of reading and writing for my oldest (he’s been doing a lot of e-mailing to new friends who have the same two health conditions that he does)
  • My oldest two have been doing a fair amount of knitting with me. My oldest attends the weekly Teen/Tween Knitting Circle I facilitate at my local yarn shop (LYS).
  • My oldest joined the Homeschool Kids group on GoodReads!

Included is a picture of the kids with Bob (the RADKids “dummy” for practicing their physical skills) along with their cool instructor, Mr. Anthony!
