Getting Better All The Time…

We got a few workbooks the other day and they have been great. Tuesday he really enjoyed the work. Wednesday not-so-much, until we had “the talk.” Basically I told him that in our extended family, there is one member who I think is pretty much a genius. But he’s always trying to look for a shortcut and it has never really worked out for him. My son really admires this relative. So I told my son that when he drags school out and tries to guess and take shortcuts, school is actually prolonged! That when he uses his “SmartBrain” he actually goes faster and it’s a lot more fun because of the successes! Once he embraced that concept, school has been going much better and he is enjoying the “formal” work part more.
